Cie Maritime Belge's BAUDOUINVILLE of 1939 (captured by Germans,1940) - Card # 2

Starboard broadside view on a line-issued, sepia-toned postcard of the Cie Maritime Belge's prewar flagship BAUDOUINVILLE of 1939 at sea.  She would be captured by German forces after the fall of Belgium and be employed by the German Navy as the hospital ship LINDAU.   She would be scuttled by the retreating Germans at Nantes, France in 1944, with the wreck later being raised and scrapped.
The beautiful prewar flagship of the Cie Belge Maritime, which was in service for only a little over a year.  Not much is ever seen for this handsome liner, being listed with NO RESERVE....CHOICE and RARE!
This lovely postcard is in excellent condition.
