Description
A superb and rare image of the famousHonda CB 750 Four
, ridden by racing ace
Dick Mann
, in action on the
circuit of Daytona
in
1971.
Mann would hand the f
irst victory for Honda at Daytona and it's first win in the United States. This would also be the first victory for the new 4-cylinder 750 Honda and equally impressive, the first victory at Daytona for Dick Mann.
These events were responsible for the quick gaining popularity of the heavier sports motorcycle, like the Honda CB 750 Four, the Kawasaki 500 and 750 two strokes, but also the Italian machines like the Ducati 750 SS, the Moto Guzzi V7 Sport, the Benelli Tornado, and the Laverda 750 SFC. Riders that would make world fame, like Franco Uncini and Marco Lucchinelli, all participated in these races before they made the steps to the Grand Prix World Championship racing scene.
It is rare to obtain an image of a CB 750 Four in pure production race action, this is a very nice
non period photo
that reflects a wonderful era of Honda’s rich history in a wonderful way. This is your rare chance to own this image, therefore it is printed in a nice large format of ca. 7.9" x 11.8" (ca.
20 x 30
cm).
