    Description

A superb and rare image, made from the original negative, of
    Bruno Ruffo
    with his 250cc
    Moto Guzzi Gambalunghino
    during the
    1952
    Isle of Man
    250cc Lightweight T.T.
Bruno Ruffo was the first ever 250cc world champion in 1949 on a Guzzi Gambalunghino, very similar to the one visible on this auction. Ruffo wasone of the most succesfull Italian riders of the early postwar racing era. He became 125cc world champion on Mondial in 1950 and again 250cc world champion on Moto Guzzi in 1951.
Ruffo is seen flying with his 250cc Guzzi factory racer on the demanding
    Isle of Man
track. The Guzzi 250 s.o.h.c. design of the engine is nicely visible, it is a great action shot of a great machine and great rider! Guzzi’s 250cc racing design was amongst their most succesfull ever, dating back to the mid 1920’s and originally to the first ever produced Guzzi-Parodi prototype of 1919.
Ruffo was Guzzi’s (and the world’s) first ever 250cc world champion, so it
is a great piece of Guzzi memorabilia that reflects the great history of Guzzi racing in a wonderful way.
It definitely is a classic action
    non period
shot, which also shows a lot of detail. It is rare to obtain a shot like this, therefore it is printed in a nice large format of ca. 7.8" x 11.8" (20 x 30cm). It is great the way it is, and would look gorgeous when framed.
Shipping costs will only be $ 7.00 regardless of how many photos you buy.   For 5 or more photos, shipping is free!
