Description

This Carretas bowl is broken and glued with no other restoration, and is pretty much whole, with what appears to be an acquisition mark/code on the bottom.  Dates to between AD 1250-1450 from Paquime (Casas Grandes) in what's now northern Chihuahua, MX. About 8 3/4" widest byt about 5" high. Interesting culture, raising and trading crops, macaws, feathers and pottery over a huge portion of the Southwest.  Large pueblo with extensive irrigation infrastucture and a World Heritage Site, well worth the visit when things settle down (Covid etc.).  Mogollon influenced architecture. This an example of master potters at work, with thin, uniform walls and beautiful symmetry to the bowl and its painting.  USA buyers ONLY thanks!  PayPal only, thanks.  I expect payment to clear within 24 hours of auction end, and I will ship USPS Priority Mail the next business day.  This is a really nice bowl and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. No USA, Mexico, native laws or customs were broken in the recovery of this piece.
